Position Overview
We are hiring Material Handlers to support manufacturing and warehouse operations in Athens, Alabama. This is an entry-level position ideal for hardworking individuals looking to start a career in logistics and manufacturing with opportunities for advancement.
Key Responsibilities
- Move raw materials, components, and finished goods throughout the facility
- Load and unload delivery trucks using pallet jacks, hand trucks, and dollies
- Stage materials at production lines and workstations according to production schedules
- Perform inventory counts and update tracking systems as directed
- Sort, label, and store materials in designated warehouse locations
- Maintain clean and organized work areas, aisles, and staging zones
- Assist with packaging, kitting, and order preparation as needed
- Follow all safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
Requirements
- No prior experience required — we will train the right candidates
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and stand for full shifts
- Comfortable working in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
- Basic math skills for counting and inventory tasks
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
- Team-oriented attitude with willingness to learn
- High School diploma or GED preferred but not required
- Must pass drug screen and background check
Compensation and Benefits
- $14-17/hr depending on shift
- Weekly pay
- Temp-to-hire after 90 days
- No experience necessary — paid training provided
