Position Overview
We are seeking skilled CNC Machine Operators to join a precision manufacturing facility in Madison, Alabama. Ideal candidates have experience setting up and operating CNC lathes, mills, or routers and take pride in producing high-quality parts to tight tolerances.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machines including lathes, mills, and routers according to work orders and blueprints
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications
- Load raw materials and monitor machine cycles to ensure parts meet quality standards
- Perform in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments
- Make minor program adjustments and tool offsets as needed to maintain tolerances
- Perform routine machine maintenance including cleaning, lubrication, and tool changes
- Document production output, scrap rates, and quality inspection results
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety standards
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience operating CNC equipment in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Proficiency with precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, dial indicators)
- Basic understanding of G-code and M-code programming is a plus
- High School diploma or GED required
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs
- Must pass drug screen and background check
Compensation and Benefits
- $18-25/hr based on experience and skill level
- Weekly pay
- Temp-to-hire after 90 days
